Each rear wheel of the tractor has
its own electric motor drive. On each a 24V 660W DC Permanent
Magnet electric motor drives through a 2 stage roller chain
reduction to the rear axle. A disc brake is incorporated into
each drive to provide mechanical braking independent of the
electrical system. The intermediate drive shafts are mounted on
needle roller bearings supported in hardwood housings.
