The voiturette's upper carriage body can be completely removed from the lower chassis. This helps with the build process and later with maintenance.

The voiturette's carriage is made from plywood and planed (finished) timber sections and can be finished (painted, varnished or other) to suit personal preference. The mudguards (fenders) are a prominent visual feature of the design and can be made with their permanent bends by steaming and bending plywood sheet - although there is plenty of scope for customisation here. The seating is simple with upholstered cushions and side and back rests. The front bonnet structure includes a removable lid through which access to the motor speed controller is made and is ventilated at the sides and front to allow air circulation around the speed controller. |
