FRONT WHEEL SUPPORTS

The front wheel steering uses modified ackerman steering geometry and a tilted king pin axis to keep its operation light and effective.

The support attachments to the timber chassis are described in the first drawing sheet - like many of our sheets this is a "combined" drawing which shows assembly, part items and individual part details together. You never have to look far to see where a part goes.

The wheel axle support mechanisms are described in a further two sheets. These describe the assembly and its construction sequence and detail the mainly steel made parts and required bought components and fasteners etc.
