LOWER STEERING COLUMN

 The lower steering
column provides support for the cantilevered front
wheel. The column is fitted with attachment for a
standard bicycle disc brake caliper. Bent steel flats
are combined with timber block spacers to produce rigid
support for the wheel and the pivot connection between
the steering column and main frame.
Sheet 1 describes
the column
assembly and lists the
components and
made parts.
 Notes to aid assembly are
included in this drawing.
The first of the
made parts are detailed on sheet 1 with the remainder
described on sheet 2.
On both sheets small
isometric views are included to show the construction
clearly.
